Our Impact

Where Our Bags Are Made: Craftsmanship with Purpose

Our bags are handmade in the Reclusorio Regional de Villa de Etla, a prison in Oaxaca, Mexico, as part of a programme that supports inmates through traditional craft training and social reintegration.

This project gives people a chance to earn an income, learn valuable skills, and prepare for life after prison, all while preserving local craftsmanship.

Traditional Techniques, Meaningful Work

The bags are made using weaving techniques passed down through generations in Oaxaca. The artisans, all of whom are currently incarcerated, are trained in these methods and work with care, precision, and creativity.

The craft not only brings structure to their daily lives but also helps build confidence through their handiwork.

How It Helps

Each artisan is paid directly for their work. The money they earn goes toward supporting their families and saving for their eventual reintegration into society.

In addition, 10% of our profits go back into the programme to help fund materials, training, and further development of the initiative inside the prison.

Your Purchase Matters

When you buy one of our bags, you’re supporting more than a product — you're contributing to a program that values rehabilitation, dignity, and long-term impact.

We believe that craftsmanship can be a tool for change. And that everyone deserves the chance to rebuild.
